Old Varna Street Primary School

I shared a studio at Rogue Artists’ Studios while completing my MA in Fine Art at Manchester School of Art. Once a primary school, Rogue bears traces of its past, institutional pink walls, blackboards, empty cupboards and silent pianos. In 2019 I received an award from Redeye, the photography network, part of the award was a residency at Cumbria University working with Rob Sara to produce colour c-type prints. Experimenting with my B&W negatives through the colour process, we printed the images in sepia pinks, echoing the décor and memories of a school suspended between past and present
